2008 March > A Night With Robbie Burns
The Fergus Scottish Festival & Highland Games presented ‘A Night With Robbie Burns’ at the Fergus Royal Canadian Legion, with over 180 people celebrating the 249th birthday of the Scottish bard. They were entertained by The Fergus Pipe Band, founded in 1927), the Grand Celtic Pipe Band; and dance students from the MacDonald School of Scottish Arts performed as well. Everyone shared a delicious meal which, of course, did include a traditional Haggis. After dinner there was dancing to the music of Whirlygig with caller Siobhan Harrop.
