Students in the Robotics and the Precision Machining classes at Lourdes High School got together to designed & build a robot for the 'First Robotics Challenge'. With financial support from Linamar Corporation, they had just 6 weeks to create a robot from scratch for the competition in Flint Michigan. The robot - still to be named - had to be able to drive itself at 27 km/hr and hoist a large inflatable ball 6 ft. in the air. One thing the robot is sure to do is give the students involved a big boost in their future careers.
Students Laslo Pfefer, Dalton Blancher, Ryan Atienza, Richard Ferguson & Dylon Smith with teachers Michael Moore, Kevin Reid & Jerry Della Savia demonstrate the robot
