In mid-January, Guelph Independent Living (GIL) celebrated its 35th anniversary of providing support services and personal care for adults with disabilities & seniors with an open house for its clients and community partners. In attendance were GIL clients, staff & board members, as well as Mayor Karen Farbridge, Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network (WWLHIN) Board Chair Kathy Durst, Wellington-Guelph Social Services Committee Chairman Gord Tosh & Board of Directors President for GIL France Tolhurst. The celebration included great food, inspirational speeches & warm conversation.
